Does your hair seem to have a life of it's own in the winter??
Do you struggle with static and flyway hair?
This is a very common issue. The cold dry air outside as well as the warm dry air inside can rob your hair of its essential moisture and cause the hair to "reach out" to find it.
A few great tips for taming static and calming those flyaway ends will get you through the winter in style!
  1.  Assess your shampoo and conditioner. Does the product you are using have enough moisture for the season? Ask your stylist to recommend an appropriate shampoo and conditioner for your hair's needs.  A light weight, leave in conditioner is fantastic for fine hair to add that needed moisture without weighing the hair down. Try L'Oreal Professionnel's Mythic Oil Milk Spray in treatment.   For thicker, heavier hair try a cream based leave in moisturizer that will tame the frizzes and keep the flyaway tresses calmed.
  2. Use wooden combs and natural bristle brushes.  Plastic combs and brushes will add static to the hair while natural materials such as wood and natural bristle brushes will keep it to a minimum. Also think about spraying your brushes with a bit of anti static hair spray before brushing your hair!
  3. Try a styling cream that has a moisture component to it like Natural Liss
  4. TiGi's Spoil Me Re styler can be used on damp or dry hair to control frizz. Great for a second day restyling and de frizzing !!
  5. Do you wear a hat?? Spray the inside of your hats with an antistatic spray to keep static at bay when you take your hat off  or rub the inside with a fabric softener sheet!!!   Each season brings different challenges for the hair. Re assess your needs for each season to ensure you and your hair are looking great all year long!!
